Lucid Motors‘ US sales nearly doubled in February to 1,500 units, according to data published by Motor Intelligence on Tuesday.
The gain follows a 156% year-over-year surge in January, though month-over-month sales slipped roughly 200 units from the prior month’s pace.
It marks the second sequential drop, following December’s revised figures of 2,415 units.
The year-over-year increase is marked by the production ramp up of the Gravity SUV, for which customer deliveries began last year, months after the first units were handed over to employees and family in the final days of 2024.
Lucid Air
Motor Intelligence breaks down figures by “cars” and “trucks,” with the debut Air sedan being considered in the first category and the Gravity SUV ranked in the second one.
According to February data, the Air sedan accounted for 900 out of the 1,500 units registered, which indicates that the Gravity SUV represented the remaining 600 units.
While deliveries of the sedan increased just slightly year over year, the SUV saw a tenfold jump in February sales in its home market.
The Lucid Air is available for purchase in the US with a starting price of $79,900, with a fully-spec’d Sapphire edition priced at $249,900.
The Gravity SUV first debuted with the higher-priced Grand Touring trim, which began from $94,900. The Touring variant, launched last year, is priced from $79,900.
Lucid is once again offering a $7,500 lease credit on its Gravity SUV, after the incentive had been set to expire on February 12.
The revived credit is paired with a trade-in program targeting Tesla, Rivian and Polestar owners as the company works to boost first-quarter demand.
Last month, and according to Motor Intelligence, the three EV makers registered declines in monthly sales when compared to a year ago.
Earlier this year, Motor Intelligence revised Lucid’s December sales figures, showing numbers significantly above the previously published ones.
Overseas Markets
Lucid currently operates in the United States, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East — including Saudi Arabia, home of the company’s largest investor (the Public Investment Fund) and where production of its mid-size platform is scheduled to begin later this year.
According to official national registration data and the EU-EVs platform, the company registered just 18 vehicles across its European markets in January.
These include Germany, Norway, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
In February, the brand sold five vehicles across the Swiss and Dutch markets, with Norway recording zero cars. As of Wednesday, Germany figures had not been published yet.
These five vehicles were Gravity SUVs, which indicates that the company sold zero Air sedans in the three markets last month.
Lucid missed its self-imposed January deadline to begin European deliveries of the Gravity SUV.
As of Wednesday morning, it had not announced the first customer deliveries, which implies that the vehicles registered could be for press or showroom purposes only.
Delivery figures for Canada and the Middle East have not been publicly disclosed.
The only insight into sales performance in those regions comes from the company’s regional revenue breakdown in its quarterly reports filed with the SEC.
2025 Figures
Lucid Motors delivered 5,345 vehicles globally in the fourth quarter and a total of 15,841 in 2025.
According to data published by Cox Automotive, 4,330 of these were sold in the United States between October and December, totaling 12,614 units in full-year 2025.
The company’s CFO Taoufiq Boussaid stated late last year that Lucid‘s second model would outsell the Air sedan for the first time in the fourth quarter, becoming the major driver of the new output record.
“Q4 will be primarily the Gravity quarter. It will represent the majority of our production and our sales,” Boussaid said then. “And again, as I said, this is as per our initial expectation and plan.”
However, figures from the final quarter of 2025 suggest that the Air sedan accounted for 3,188 units, while the Gravity SUV stayed at just 1,801.
Considering the $429.4 million revenue reported in the US during the fourth quarter, Lucid’s average selling price (ASP) per vehicle in its domestic market was $99,170.
For the full year, total revenue reached $1.354 billion, with North America accounting for $1.167 billion of the total and the United States alone generating $1.142 billion — 84.4% of full-year revenue.
The company’s ASP in the US last year stood at $90,530.
Gravity Software Update
Lucid released a new software update for the Gravity SUV this week — version 3.4.4 — focused on improvements to AC charging and Drive Assist availability and behavior.
The update came a few weeks after the EV maker released the 3.4 version, which enhanced audio controls and improved key fob recognition — one of the most common complaints among Gravity owners.
Lucid‘s recently appointed Senior Vice President of Engineering and Digital Emad Dlala said the company’s latest update addressed up to 95% of the issues previously flagged by owners.
This Wednesday, the company closed its online configurator for both models, directing customers to purchase from existing inventory instead.
Lucid‘s Head of Communications later revealed that the EV maker will “resume taking orders when the 2027 model year is announced.”
