Lucid’s Interim CEO Teases ‘More Updates’ Later This Week

Lucid Motors‘ interim CEO Marc Winterhoff said he will share “more updates” this week, hours after the EV maker reported record production and deliveries for 2025.

“I’m en-route to the CES and will be sharing more updates during this week, but for now I’d like to focus on thanking every member of the Lucid team for your passion and dedication,” Winterhoff wrote in a LinkedIn post Monday. “I’m proud of the whole team!”

The executive did not specify what announcements to expect.

Consumer Electronics ‍Show, the annual technology conference in Las Vegas, runs through January 10.

Lucid won’t have its own booth at the event. However, the premium brand will be present at the NVIDIA Showcase at the Fontainebleau, 4th Floor. Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang is set to speak later this Monday at 4 p.m. EST.

‘Bucked the Trend’

Winterhoff said Lucid defied the broader industry slowdown in electric vehicle sales.

“While the industry is clearly facing the so-called ‘EV winter,’ with many producing and selling far fewer electric vehicles, or canceling electric vehicle programs completely, I’m proud to say that Lucid resoundingly bucked the trend and continued to grow,” Winterhoff wrote.

In a separate post, the company’s Senior VP of Operations Adrian Price said Lucid numbers “tell a powerful story of the scale we’re achieving.”

“The standout for me? Producing 8,412 vehicles in Q4 alone. This represents a 116% increase in production over Q3!” the SVP added.

Production Surge

The interim CEO Marc Winterhoff highlighted Lucid‘s production growth, noting that some observers had doubted the company could meet its targets.

“In 2025, Lucid produced 18,378 vehicles, a 104% increase over last year,” Winterhoff wrote. “In Q4 alone, our production soared to 8,412 vehicles or 116% compared to Q3.”

“I’m well aware that there was quite some doubt out there whether we could pull this off after our Q3 numbers, but as always in the last two years, the Lucid team did it!” he added.

The California-based EV maker had lowered its production target twice throughout 2025 — from 20,000 to a range of 18,000–20,000 in August, then to 18,000 in November.

Record Deliveries

Winterhoff said Lucid achieved its eighth consecutive quarter of record deliveries in Q4, with 5,345 vehicles representing a 31% increase from the prior quarter.

“I’m very proud to be able to say that we are the only automotive manufacturer growing production and deliveries in Q4 of EVs built here in America,” the interim CEO wrote.

“These results are a testament to our potential as a company and our team’s relentless commitment to deliver on what we said, despite what is probably the most challenging environment in recent history,” Winterhoff added.

2025 Results

Lucid delivered 15,841 vehicles in 2025, up 55% from 10,241 units in 2024. The company produced 18,378 vehicles, exceeding its revised annual guidance of 18,000 units.

The company will report fourth-quarter financial results on February 24 after market close.

Earlier this Monday, Cantor Fitzgerald said Lucid‘s fourth-quarter production and deliveries exceeded expectations.

The firm had estimated the EV maker to deliver 4,894 vehicles in Q4 2025. Lucid reported 5,345 units.

Production figures stood 400 unit higher than Cantor’s forecast.

On X, Lucid‘s VP of Communications Nick Twork said the company “made good progress closing out 2025” while noting that “many peers moved in the opposite direction.”
