Lucid Motors registered nine vehicles in Germany in February, down from 19 units in January, as the company prepares to expand its European distribution strategy.

Before being appointed interim CEO, Chief Operating Officer Marc Winterhoff said in December that Lucid plans to open additional showrooms in Germany, including new studios in Berlin and Stuttgart.

“We aim to operate between 10 and 12 locations across the country,” he stated in an interview with local media.

As exclusively reported by EV in December, Lucid is expanding its business model in Europe by adding importers and agency models in select markets alongside its existing direct-to-consumer showroom network.

In Germany, Lucid’s entry-level Air Pure starts at €85,000 ($89,000), while the high-performance Air Sapphire can be pre-ordered for €255,000 ($269,000).

In the Netherlands, Lucid has sold one vehicle over the first two months of 2025. In February, the company registered nine units in Germany, ten in Switzerland, one in the Netherlands, and none in Norway.

At the fourth-quarter earnings call, Lucid’s interim CEO confirmed the shift, stating that the company is introducing “additional distribution channels like importers and agency models for select countries in addition to our existing direct-to-consumer model.”

Lucid currently operates in Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, and Switzerland, with additional European markets expected later this year.
