The 2025 Lucid Air Pure, Touring, Grand Touring, and Sapphire received the maximum five-star scores from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) New Car Assessment Program for 2025, the EV maker said on Monday.

Lucid scored five start rating on the variants of its Lucid Air sedan on overall safety in frontal crash, side crash, and rollover testing.

Erich Bach, Lucid’s SVP Product and Chief Engineer, said, “Safety has been a top priority from the outset at Lucid and achieving five stars in NHTSA’s New Car Assessment Program will give owners further confidence in their Lucid Air,” said.

“This is a fantastic result, albeit one that was fully expected given the comprehensive engineering process for Lucid Air,” he added.

Last July, Lucid Motors announced that the 2025 version of its Air Pure can achieve 5.0 miles per kilowatt hour of energy and record 146 MPGe EPA rating.

Previously developed for the top variant of the Air sedan the Lucid Sapphire, the heat pump is now standard on the 2025 variants.

The upgraded Lucid Air Grand Touring has now an estimated EPA range of 512 miles with prices staring from $110,900 excluding tax, title, license, options, destination and documentation fees. The entry level variant, the Pure, starts at $69,000.

The enhancements extend across the entire Lucid Air lineup, from the Air Pure to the Air Grand Touring models. All vehicles will now come equipped with Lucid’s DreamDrive Premium ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) as standard.

This system includes features such as 3D Surround View Monitoring and live Blind Spot Display, among others, to enhance driver safety and convenience.

Lucid will release its third-quarter earnings results next week on November 7 after the market close.
