Lucid Motors’ U.S. sales reached a record 712 vehicles in November as the company prepares to start mass production of its second model later this month. Sales estimates from Motor Intelligence released on Tuesday show the EV maker’s sales in its primary market increased 45% year-on-year and 6.3% from October, marking the second consecutive month of growth.
Lucid’s average selling price declined nearly 15% in the third quarter to approximately $71,500, according to Morgan Stanley, following the rollout of global promotions and the sale of lower-priced demo vehicles in the U.S. earlier this year.

Tesla’s sales declined 3% in November to 51,513 units, while Rivian reported a 7% increase in sales to 3,625 vehicles. Polestar’s sales dropped 25% to 751 units, compared with 995 in October. Ford and General Motors reported sales of 156,139 and 243,216 vehicles, respectively, including internal combustion engine (ICE), battery electric (BEV), and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models.

At the third-quarter earnings call, Lucid reiterated its annual production target of 9,000 units. As EV recently reported, the California-based EV maker is planning to deliver the first units of the Gravity SUV early next year.
Last month, Lucid started accepting orders in the U.S. for the higher trim of its second model, which starts at $94,500. The highly awaited $ 80,000 trim arrives in about a year, in late 2025.
In mid-November, the company’s chief executive said that production of the Gravity SUV was set to begin “imminently” at the Arizona plant.
“Gravity is about to start production imminently. I’m fresh from the factory this week, back to Arizona imminently. And we’re going to start production of what I believe is the best SUV on the planet very, very soon, made with a huge dose of pride from Arizona,” Rawlinson stated.
