Lucid Motors saw its U.S. sales reach a new record in February with 805 units, according to Motor Intelligence estimates published on Monday. The figures include 750 Air sedans and 55 Gravity SUVs.

Sales surged 33.5% year over year and 21% sequentially, as the company continues its search for a new chief executive following Peter Rawlinson’s resignation last week. On the same day it announced the departure of its CEO and CTO, the company said it aims to produce “approximately 20,000 vehicles” this year.

Meanwhile, U.S. customer deliveries of Lucid’s second model, the Gravity SUV, are expected to begin in the coming months.

Lucid began initial deliveries of the Gravity SUV to employees, friends, and family members just before the end of 2024. However, the brand has not provided a specific date for the start of customer deliveries in the U.S., Canada, or Saudi Arabia. European deliveries are scheduled for early 2026.

Speaking on the fourth-quarter earnings call last week, Lucid’s newly apointed interim CEO Marc Winterhoff said the SUV will be available for test drives at all Lucid showrooms “in the coming weeks.”

The EV maker reported last week its fourth quarter earnings results disclosing that it generated $598 million in revenue from North America in 2024, an increase o 15% from 2023 — while annual global deliveries jumped 71% to 10,241 vehicles.

In the Middle East, where its backer Public Investment Fund (PIF) is based, revenue surged 299% in 2024, rising from $59 million in 2023.

In Europe, Lucid has been struggling to increase its brand awareness and demand. As of February 28, the company sold only one vehicle in the Netherlands — where its European headquarers are located.
