As exclusively reported by EV in December, EV maker Lucid Motors is expanding its business model in Europe by adding importers and agency models in select countries, alongside its existing showroom network.

At the fourth quarter earnings call, the interim CEO, Marc Winterhoff, said the company is “accelerating the growth of our retail footprint and market coverage in Europe” adding that it is introducing “additional distribution channels like importers and agency models for select countries in addition to our existing direct-to-consumer model.”

“We are very excited about 2025 and expect another big year,” he said.

In January, Lucid sold 19 vehicles in Germany and zero in the Netherlands, where its European headquarters are located. For Switzerland and Norway, EV could not confirm the official registration numbers while the data platform EU-EVs shows that no Lucid vehicles were registered in both countries between January 1 and 31.

According to its 10K filing from Tuesday, Lucid reported $15.8 million in revenue from the ‘International’ region which covers its European markets. The figure grew by 10% when compared to 2023 when the EV maker reported $14.3 million

New Models

Later this year, Lucid will expand its European lineup with the Sapphire variant of its Air sedan, set to launch still in the first quarter. The company also plans to introduce its Gravity SUV in early 2026, with orders opening in mid-2025.

A midsized model priced below $50,000 is expected to go into production in late 2026 and arrive in Europe in 2027.

The company will also launch a tour with mobile pop-up stores in early 2025, in addition to expanding its physical showroom network.

Germany Locations

As a Chief Operating Officer, Winterhoff said in December that Lucid is planning additional showrooms in Germany, including new studios in Berlin and Stuttgart. “We aim to operate between 10 and 12 locations across the country,” Winterhoff said.
