Lucid Motors sold 28 vehicles across its four markets in Europe, seven additional units when compared to the 21 sedans it sold a year ago.
In April, the company registered 10 units of its debut model, the Air, across Norway, Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands — home to its European headquarters.
The U.S. EV maker entered Europe’s largest auto market, Germany, in late 2022. It currently offers several trims of its Air sedan.
The entry-level version, the Air Pure, is priced from €85,000 ($97,150), while the top-tier performance Air Sapphire starts from €250,000 ($285,700).

In May, it sold 15 vehicles in the country, up two units from the same period a year earlier, data from the KBA showed. It nearly tripled its registrations compared to April — when it had sold 6 EVs.
In the Netherlands, Lucid sold seven electric vehicles last month, the same units it registered exactly a year earlier. According to data from the BOVAG, May registrations were six units above April’s.
By the end of 2022, company opened its third retail European location in Amsterdam — it was its first service, delivery and sales center in the old continent.
Prices for the Air sedan currently start at €88,000 ($100,600) in the Dutch market.
In Switzerland, where it also arrived nearly three years ago, the same model is priced from CHF 91,000 ($110,800).
Sales of the luxury EV maker in the Swiss market reached six units in May, according to data from EU-EVs. Figures doubled from the three vehicles sold in April. A year ago, the brand had registered only one EV.
Lucid is also present in Norway since early 2023, when it opened its fourth location in Oslo. The Lucid Air Pure’s prices begin at NKR 950,000, equivalent to $94,300.
Norway is the leading country in the world when it comes to EV adoption. In May, fully electric vehicles represented 94% of all vehicle sales in the country.
However, according to EU-EVs, the company did not register any sale both in April and in May. Year to date, it only sold one unit (in March). The total figures for 2024 reached four units.
The EV maker did not disclose yet when the Gravity SUV — priced from $94,900 in the U.S. — would be available in its European markets. The model was recently spotted testing at Germany’s Nürburgring race track.
As EV reported late last year, Lucid is expanding to Belgium — and Denmark is following.
Earlier on Wednesday, Lucid’s Managing Director in Europe Lawrence Hamilton said that the company expects to be present across the UK, France, Italy, and Spain “over the next 18 months.”
“We’ve yet to enter these three Southern European markets [France, Italy and Spain] because EV adoption is lagging in those regions,” Hamilton stated.
Recently, multiple trademark filings for upcoming Lucid models were approved in the U.S., Canada and the European Union.
On Monday, the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) approved the company’s application for the “Earth Dream Edition” trademark, reviving the name originally used for the launch version of the Lucid Air.
Lucid is planning to launch a mid-size SUV positioned below the Gravity in late 2026, targeting a starting price under $50,000.
