EV maker Lucid Motors announced on Tuesday that its CEO and CTO Peter Rawlinson will be replaced with Marc Winterhoff serving as Interim chief executive while the Board searches for a new chief.
“He will transition to the role of Strategic Technical Advisor to the Chairman of the Board. Marc Winterhoff, Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer,” the company said in a statement.
Lucid‘s Board said it has “initiated a search to identify Lucid’s next Chief Executive Officer with the support of a leading executive search firm.”
The company has been seeing significant changes at the executive level. Since October 2023, the company has seen the exit of 9 executives including two C-level executives, a senior vice president, five vice presidents, and now its head of European operations.
Late last year, Vice President of Marketing and Communications Andrea Soriani left to rejoin Maserati as General Manager for North America.
As reported by EV in December, Alexander Lutz, the managing director for Europe, has left the company becoming the ninth senior executive departure from the U.S. electric vehicle (EV) maker in the past 14 months.
