Electric vehicle maker Lucid Motors said on Tuesday it is partnering with the Ontario-based startup Taq aiming to improve customers’ financing process when buying a vehicle.
The company will now begin using Taq One, a credit portal platform that enhances portfolio management and improves the efficiency of the financing process., Lucid has recently introduced leasing as part of its financing options in Canada and is preparing to start deliveries of the 2025 version of its inaugural model, the Air sedan.

Currently, and until the end of the third quarter, a $6,500 CAD bonus offer is available for vehicles in stock at your local studio at the time of order. Customers paying with cash will also receive an additional $10,000 CAD Air Credit, applied at signing.
Additionally, two years or 38,000 km of complimentary Lucid Care scheduled maintenance is included, along with a $1,300 CAD Home Charging Allowance toward the purchase of Lucid Home Charging Accessorie
Pure, the cheapest variant of the Lucid Air sedan, starts at $96,800 CAD, while the Touring variant begins at $107,800 CAD, and the Grand Touring one from $150,800 CAD.
Lucid has recently listed on its website demo vehicles with hundreds or a dozen of thousands of miles driven with prices starting at $56,998 for its inaugural model, the Lucid Air.
One of the cheapest ones listed is a 2023 Lucid Air Pure with 13,071 miles with an EPA estimated range of 410 miles and 480hp.
In the second quarter of the year, the company delivered 2,394 vehicles while producing 2,110 units. For the full year, Lucid expects to produce 9,000 vehicles.
