Lucid Motors said on Tuesday it has appointed Taoufiq Boussaid as its chief financial officer, effective February 25 — the same day when the company will be reporting its fourth quarter 2024 earnings results. Boussaid will replace Sherry House, who resigned in December 2023 after spending two and a half years in the role.
Before joining Lucid, she spent nearly four years at Alphabet’s Waymo and five years at Deloitte. In May 2024, Ford Motor Co. announced that House would replace John Lawler as CFO “in early 2025.”
Following House’s departure in late 2023, Lucid appointed Gagan Dhingra as interim CFO. Dhingra will now be promoted to senior vice president of finance and accounting while continuing as chief accounting officer.
Lucid CEO Peter Rawlinson said Boussaid “brings decades of experience in strategic finance and operational transformation” and thanked Dhingra for his leadership as interim CFO.
The EV maker said earlier this week that its Lucid Gravity will become the first non-Tesla vehicle to feature a NACS charging port and gain access to their Supercharger network this Friday.
Lucid’s first model, the sedan Lucid Air, is planned to gain access in the second quarter of 2025.
Lucid said recently that the base variant of its upcoming SUV, the Gravity Touring, will start at C$113,500 (USD $78,670) in Canada. The higher-end Grand Touring model will be priced at C$134,500 (USD $93,225).
