Lucid Launches New Fleet Program in Germany to Target Corporate Sales

EV maker Lucid Motors has launched a new fleet program in Germany as it seeks to increase corporate sales in Europe.

The Newark-headquartered brand now offers tailored mobility solutions, flexible pricing, and national or international framework agreements for business customers in Europe’s largest car market.

On its German website, Lucid said the program targets companies of all sizes.

Small and medium firms with up to 24 vehicles can get support directly through Lucid Studios. Fleets with 25 or more cars can sign local or cross-border contracts with the Corporate Sales team.

Lucid promises full-service leasing that includes maintenance, insurance and extra services in one package.

The company says the goal is to meet “business needs efficiently, personally and precisely” with dedicated teams handling sales and delivery.

Lucid’s German fleet program also invites companies to reach out for customized solutions.

“Our goal is to support your requirements with competitive B2B offers and personal service,” the company said.

The brand registered 15 units of its Air sedan in Germany in May, according to data shared by the country’s Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA).

As of the end of May, sales in the German market were up 12% compared to the first five months of 2024.

Last October, the EV maker signed a purchase agreement with the German rental firm SIXT to offer its debut model in the country.

The Lucid Air sedan, available in the Pure, Touring, and Grand Touring variants, is now available for rental in Germany with prices starting at €999 per month on a minimum 360-day contract.

In the United States, Lucid runs similar plans under the Endeavor and Endeavor Beyond programs. No enrollment is needed for Endeavor.

Companies buying three or more Lucid Air Pure, Touring or Grand Touring models can save up to $3,500 per car. Endeavor Beyond targets fleets with 15 or more vehicles.

It offers short-term leases and up to $15,000 in savings per Grand Touring Air.

The EV maker’s second model, the Lucid Gravity, was recently spotted testing at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany, with two prototypes bearing Munich license plates captured testing at the racetrack.

Lucid began taking reservations for the Gravity Grand Touring trim in November, with U.S. prices starting at just under $95,000 before fees. As of Wednesday, there is no official timeline yet for the model’s launch in European markets.

The latest sales data in the German market signals a rebound, albeit modest.

The California-based registered 19 in January, 9 in February, 7 in March, and 6 vehicles in April in Germany, Europe’s largest car market.

Late last year, Marc Winterhoff — who was appointed interim CEO in February — said Lucid aimed to expand its presence in Germany with between 10 and 12 locations.

The company currently operates showrooms in Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, and Hamburg.

The Air Pure, Lucid’s entry-level sedan, starts at €85,000 ($96,800) in Germany. Its high-performance Air Sapphire is available for pre-order at €255,000 ($290,100).

Cláudio Afonso founded CARBA in early 2021 and launched the news blog EV later that year. Following a 1.5-year hiatus, he relaunched EV in April 2024. In late 2024, he also started AV, a blog dedicated to the autonomous vehicle industry.
