Registrations for Lucid Motors‘ electric vehicles in Europe have surged both sequentially and year over year in July, as the company prepares to expand its lineup in the Old Continent.
According to official national data and the platform EU-EVs, the California-based brand recorded 84 vehicles across Germany, Norway, Switzerland and the Netherlands, tripling from the 27 units registered in June and a sevenfold from the 11 vehicles listed a year ago.
Since the start of 2025, Lucid’s combined monthly registrations across its four European markets have each remained below 30 units.

In July, the company recorded 46 vehicles in Germany — Europe’s largest car market and home to its main premium competitors BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Audi.
Lucid recorded its highest monthly figure since November 2024, according to the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA).
The figures mark a sharp surge from the eight vehicles registered in the same period a year ago. In June, 17 units were recorded by the premium brand in the German market.
In July alone, the brand sold more vehicles than it did in both the first quarter (35) and the second quarter (38).
In late June, the brand launched a new fleet program in the German market offering tailored mobility solutions, flexible pricing, and national or international framework agreements for business customers.
From January to July, the brand registered 119 EVs in Europe’s largest auto market, 63% above the same period in 2024.
However, Lucid‘s registrations in the country jumped in the last quarter of the year, which brought the yearly total to 392 vehicles.
July vehicle registrations in Germany showed that the market share for electric vehicles rose by 58% year over year — EVs represented nearly one in each five vehicles.
In Norway, where the market share for electric vehicles reached a new record 97.2% rate in July, Lucid sold 11 vehicles, nine units above the two vehicles registered a month before.
Data from the EU-EVs platform shows that the company did not register any vehicles in July 2024.
Lucid registered a total of just five vehicles in the Norwegian market in 2024. Last month alone, sales were more than doubled that figure. Year to date, total registrations in Norway have reached 14 units.
The brand is also present in Switzerland and the Netherlands, where it sold 22 and five units, respectively.
Registrations in the Swiss market jumped from six vehicles in June and from two vehicles a year ago. In the Netherlands, July figures were up by three units sequentially. Year over year, registrations surged from one unit.
The EV maker said in mid-July that it is preparing for the European launch of its second model, the Gravity SUV.
As part of its validation program, the company recently completed a 5,000-mile testing drive from Munich to the Arctic Circle.
Since early 2023, Lucid has appointed three different Managing Directors for Europe: Michael van de Sande took the role in March 2023, followed by Alexander Lutz later that year.
Lawrence Hamilton, who previously held senior roles at Polestar and Infiniti, assumed the position in December and currently leads the region.
Earlier this year, Hamilton said that the company expects to be present across the UK, France, Italy, and Spain “over the next 18 months,” following the launch in Belgium and Denmark.
Lucid currently has showrooms in eight European cities: Oslo, Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt, Munich, Geneva, Hilversum in the Netherlands, and Zurich, where a new location is scheduled to open this autumn.
On Tuesday, the company reported its second quarter earnings results, which have missed earnings estimates and led to a stock price decline over the following sessions.
By then, the company trimmed its annual production guidance to “between 18,000 and 20,000 vehicles” — down from 20,000 units.
