Lucid has started rolling out software version 3.6.5 to the Gravity SUV on Thursday, a single-fix release that addresses windows reopening on their own after closing, affecting “a small number of vehicles.”
The SUV is Lucid’s second model. The first deliveries took place in the final days of 2024 to the brand’s employees, as well as their friends and family members.
“This update will correct the irregular window closing behavior of a small number of vehicles,” Lucid said. “In affected vehicles, a window may have reached the closed position and then automatically re-opened.”
A screenshot of the notes, which was shared on the Lucid Owners forum, does not say how many vehicles were affected or what caused the fault.
Owners Report Fix
Owners began reporting the release on Thursday in the r/Gravity community on Reddit and on the Lucid Owners forum.
One owner wrote on the forum that the update contained “only window glass closing issue fix, nothing else.”
The same owner, who drives a Gravity Touring, later wrote: “It was happening in my car, i can confirm it is fixed now.” A second owner said the problem had occurred once in their vehicle.
A Detroit-based owner said they had not received the update, and that a separate window fault two weeks earlier had been repaired by mobile service as a regulator issue.
Window Faults Are Not New
Gravity owners have reported window problems before.
When Lucid released version 3.3.22 in December 2025, the owner who opened the forum thread on it said the update “affects the windows,” and another owner described windows that “sometimes just keep going down after closing.”
After UX 3.6 arrived in June, owners opened a thread reporting windows opening and closing unexpectedly, failing to close fully or not responding to controls.
A forum moderator cited a Lucid known-issues note at the time listing “select window or control behaviors that may not perform as expected in all situations.”
Fourth Update of 3.6 Cycle
Version 3.6.5 is the fourth broadly released update in the UX 3.6 cycle.
Lucid released UX 3.6 for the Gravity on June 8, bringing hands-free highway driving under DreamDrive 2 Pro, automatic lane changes and Google Maps Places data in navigation.
A Lucid team member wrote on the owners’ forum in July that the next release would “improve the stability of features already introduced in 3.6.0.”
Version 3.6.3 followed at the end of July with fixes for rear climate, door unlocking, driver assistance and the key fob.
On August 11, Lucid began pushing 3.6.4, which fixed a driver-monitoring camera fault that had stopped Hands-Free Drive Assist from engaging.
A version 3.6.2 was expected in early July to address hands-free failures, but it did not reach owners as a general release.
Version 3.6.5 arrived about six weeks after 3.6.4.
No Window Recall
The update is not linked to a recall. NHTSA’s database lists three recalls for the Gravity, none of them involving windows.
The first, in December 2025, covered 66 vehicles with mislabeled front seat backrest covers that could affect side airbag deployment.
A January software recall covered about 3,900 vehicles whose rearview camera image might not appear in reverse, fixed over the air.
In April, Lucid recalled 4,476 Gravity vehicles built before February 14 over weak welds on second-row seat belt anchors.
US safety rules on power windows focus on the auto-reverse function when a window meets an obstruction.
The fault Lucid describes involves a window reopening after reaching the closed position.
