Lucid Gravity Gets $80,000 Trim in the US, Limited Deliveries Begin

Lucid Motors unveiled the entry-level Gravity Touring large SUV on Thursday at the LA Auto Show, pricing the seven-seat model at $79,900 before tax, title, license, options, destination and documentation fees.

The Touring variant offers up to 337 miles of range and joins the higher-priced Grand Touring trim.

The company opened orders immediately, with select configurations available for delivery within two weeks.

The Gravity Touring trim will make its public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show this Friday (Nov. 21), with Lucid also offering test drives of the Gravity Grand Touring and the Air Sapphire models.

Initially planned to reach 20,000 units, the 2025 production target has been cut twice since August.

The first reduction was announced in early August to a range of 18,000-20,000 units and the second one a few weeks ago to a new target of 18,000 vehicles.

Immediate Deliveries

Lucid said deliveries of a “limited number” of vehicles started immediately, though the company declined to specify production volumes.

The EV maker’s website shows Touring configurations priced between $81,550 and $109,250 depending on options, all marked as “Available in 2 Weeks.”

“Customer orders are now open, with select configurations available for immediate delivery,” the California-based company said in a statement.

Vice-President of Communications Nick Twork added on X that “a limited number of Lucid Gravity Touring vehicles are available for immediate delivery.”

The rapid availability comes about a year after the company started production of the Grand Touring trim and follows Lucid‘s first-ever Gravity discount introduced last month through an email campaign.

Substantial Backlog

In late October, Lucid reaffirmed it has a “substantial order backlog” for the Gravity after introducing a limited discount.

The move came a month after Lucid listed the first Gravity vehicles for immediate delivery on its inventory page, which the company previously said was “not a demand-related development.”

“Although we still have a substantial order backlog, temporary production constraints resulted in a few vehicles that couldn’t be matched to specific customer orders,” a Lucid spokesperson said in response to the earlier report.

The company maintained only a “very limited number” of units are available and rejected suggestions of broad price cuts.

“There are no widespread discounts on Lucid Gravity, and we continue to focus on fulfilling existing customer orders,” the spokesperson said.
