Lucid Extends US Incentives for Both Models Amid Quarter-End Sales Push

Lucid Motors has extended a $3,000 discount on its Air sedan and Gravity SUV through the end of March, after initially setting a March 22 cutoff as part of a quarter-end sales push.

“Spring into Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity with an additional $3,000 off select available vehicle inventory,” a banner on the company’s website read as of Thursday.

The promotion can be stacked with other offers, including “up to $7,000 for select Trade-In vehicles until the end of the month.”

Lucid is expected to report its first-quarter EV production and delivery figures within the first days of April.

2027 Model Year

The Newark, California-based EV maker is applying the discount to existing inventory units of both models, stacking it on top of other active incentives as it prepares to transition to the 2027 model year.

Earlier this month, Lucid closed the online configurator for both vehicles — which is expected to reopen once the next year versions are officially announced.

Customers can no longer build custom orders and are instead being directed to purchase from available inventory or vehicles already in the production pipeline.

While some had suggested Lucid could reveal the 2027 models at its inaugural Investor Day in New York earlier this month, the company did not reveal any information regarding the upcoming iterations then.

The Lucid Air is available in three variants, with entry prices beginning from $70,900 to $114,990, excluding mandatory destination fees.

A fully spec’d Sapphire edition is available at $249,900.

The Gravity SUV first debuted with the higher-priced Grand Touring trim, which began from $94,900 (excluding destination fees).

The Touring variant, launched last year, is priced from $79,900, jumping to $81,550 with the fee included.

Other Incentives

Earlier this month, Lucid revived a $7,500 lease credit on the Gravity SUV after the incentive had been set to expire on February 12.

The credit is paired with a trade-in program targeting Tesla, Rivian and Polestar owners, which can lead to a discount of up to $5,000 in the new purchase.

Lucid‘s offers page also lists 0% financing on the Gravity — including both trims — for up to 60 months.

The current campaign offers up to $12,500 in combined lease incentives on the Gravity — more than triple the $4,000 maximum promoted during the final week of February, when the lease credit was not advertised.

A $2,000 Conquest Offer is available to those purchasing any of the Lucid models, provided they own vehicles from a competitive brand.

These include Alfa Romeo, Audi and Porsche, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, Cadillac, Genesis, Jaguar Land Rover, Volvo, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Rolls-Royce, among others.

The Conquest allowance also applies to owners of Tesla, Rivian and Polestar EVs.

For the Lucid Air, the company offers a separate Air Credit of up to $12,500 for cash buyers on the Pure and Touring trims and $15,000 on the Grand Touring, alongside the same Conquest and trade-in structure.

Leasing contracts are subject to a 1.99% financing rate.

US Sales

Estimates published by Motor Intelligence show that Lucid‘s US sales have doubled year over year in January and nearly achieved a similar milestone in February.

The increases were marked by the production ramp-up of the Gravity SUV, for which customer deliveries began last year, months after the first units were handed over to employees and family in the final days of 2024.

Motor Intelligence breaks down figures by “cars” and “trucks,” with the debut Air sedan being considered in the first category and the Gravity SUV ranked in the second one.

According to February data, the Air sedan accounted for 900 out of the 1,500 units registered, which indicates that the Gravity SUV represented the remaining 600 units.

While deliveries of the sedan increased just slightly year over year, the SUV saw a tenfold jump in February sales in its home market.

2025 Figures

The EV maker delivered 5,345 vehicles globally in the fourth quarter and a total of 15,841 in 2025.

According to data published by Cox Automotive, 4,330 of these were sold in the United States between October and December, totaling 12,614 units in 2025.

The company’s CFO Taoufiq Boussaid stated late last year that Lucid‘s second model would outsell the Air sedan for the first time in the fourth quarter, becoming the major driver of the new output record.

“Q4 will be primarily the Gravity quarter. It will represent the majority of our production and our sales,” Boussaid said then. “And again, as I said, this is as per our initial expectation and plan.”

However, figures from the final quarter of 2025 published by Cox Automotive suggest that the Air sedan accounted for 3,188 units, while the Gravity SUV stayed at just 1,801.

Production and Estimates

Lucid disclosed late last month that it produced fewer electric vehicles in 2025 than it had announced in early January.

The figures were revised to a full-year production total of 17,840 — down from the 18,378 it reported on January 5.

The revision brings Lucid‘s full-year output just below the 18,000-unit threshold of the production guidance it had set in November, though the company described the result as “in-line” with its target of approximately 18,000 vehicles.

The company said it expects to manufacture between 25,000 and 27,000 electric vehicles this year, up from the 17,840 produced last year.

Speaking at the Bank of America 2026 Automotive Summit, Boussaid said the company is “being conservative in [their] assumptions,” accounting for the current challenges in the industry.
