Starting this Thursday, the Goodwood Festival of Speed (FoS) returns to the South of England, featuring participants such as BYD’s luxury sub-brand Yangwang, Genesis, BMW, and Lucid Motors .
The event is being held over four days from 11-14 July under the theme “Horseless to Hybrid – Revolutions in Power.”
In 2022, Lucid’s sedan, the Air Grand Touring Performance, was named the fastest production car in the Hillclimb Timed Shootout at the event, marking its first public appearance.

Roger Atkins, Founder of “Electric Vehicles Outlook” and one of the most respected voices in the EV industry, shared on LinkedIn that Lucid Motors CEO Peter Rawlinson will be interviewed by him at the event later this week.
“I’ll be hanging out with Peter and other EV Rockstars at The Goodwood Festival Of Speed next week […],” Atkins wrote.

As of now, Lucid has not officially announced its participation with any models, as the company prepares to start mass production of the Gravity, a seven-seater SUV, later this year.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed will also feature various automotive debuts with Hyundai’s luxury sub-brand, Genesis, unveiling the GV60 and GV80 EV concept cars.
Mini will showcase its John Cooper Works Electric hot hatch in a camouflaged prototype form, marking the first appearance of the JCW badge on an electric vehicle.
Chinese manufacturer BYD’s luxury sub-brand, Yangwang, will debut its U8 SUV and the all-electric 1282bhp U9 hypercar,
The company sold 15 units of its first production model, the Lucid Air, in Germany during June, according to official data released by the German Federal Motor Transport Association (KBA).
In Europe, Lucid is currently present in Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, and Switzerland.
In an email sent last week, the company announced that was introducing a new leasing incentive of $7,500 Air Credit for customers in the United States. This offer is in addition to the existing $4,000 bonus available for inventory vehicles.
Last month, the company offered an Air Credit that was 50 percent lower ($3,750) for new customers in the country, while the inventory bonus was $1,000 higher, at $5,000.
The EV maker is expected to publish the second-quarter production and delivery numbers over the next few days.
