Key Transportation, a Miami-based premium private car service, said on Wednesday it has added multiple Lucid Air sedans to its fleet, expanding what it claims is “Miami’s largest fleet of electric vehicles.”
While the company did not disclose the number of vehicles acquired, photos shared on social media showed about a dozen black Lucid Airs parked at its headquarters.
The electric sedans will be used for corporate roadshows and high-profile events, the company said.
Founded in 2000, Key Transportation’s fleet includes Mercedes-Benz S-Class and E-Class vehicles, as well as Cadillac XTS and CT6 sedans, according to its website.
In a LinkedIn post, the company described Lucid’s vehicles as offering “unmatched elegance, comfort, and a commitment to reducing our carbon footprint.”
The announcement comes as Lucid Motors strengthens its presence in international fleet and mobility partnerships.
Earlier this week, Berlin-based chauffeur service Blacklane said it would integrate both the Lucid Air and Gravity models into its chauffeur platform in Saudi Arabia, as part of its plan to double operations in the Kingdom by the end of 2025.
Blacklane currently operates in more than 50 countries.
Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund (PIF), is Lucid’s largest shareholder with a stake of about 60%.
Lucid on Wednesday also announced a new multi-year supply agreement with Graphite One, aimed at securing U.S.-sourced materials for production of future models including the upcoming mid-size platform.
It is the company’s third raw material supply deal in recent months and follows earlier agreements with Syrah Resources and Graphite One for synthetic graphite.
In a separate development, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has begun procurement tenders to deploy Lucid vehicles at its embassies and consulates across Asia, South America, Africa and Europe.
Countries listed in the tender include Türkiye, Jordan, Hungary, Brazil, Egypt, the Philippines, Tunisia, and Bangladesh, according to documents shared online.
Lucid interim CEO Marc Winterhoff said the company is continuing its expansion in the Gulf region and is preparing to enter additional European markets later this year.
