Beijing-based automaker Li Auto has postponed the launch of its upcoming pure electric SUV following a significant redesign, new leaked spy photos in China show.
The new vehicle, originally set to debut this year, will now be introduced in the first half of 2025, according to local media IT Home which cited sources familiar with the matter.

The latest spy images reveal a complete overhaul of the SUV’s rear design, deviating from earlier versions that resembled a smaller version of Li Auto’s first pure EV model, the MEGA.
The upcoming model is rumored to be built on an 800V high-voltage platform and feature 5C super-fast charging capabilities.

Li Auto delivered 48,122 vehicles in August representing an increase of 37.8 per cent from a year ago for the new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer and the third consecutive month delivering over 47,000 units.
The company is expected to reach a total of 1 million vehicles produced in late October.

Li Auto‘s L6, the cheapest model in the portfolio, starts at 249,800 yuan ($35,200) and was responsible for over 20,000 units over the last three months.
Regarding charging infrastructure, the manufacturer closed August with 748 super charging stations equipped with 3,506 chargers in China.
Li Auto saw its second quarter net profit tumbling 52% year over year to 1.1 billion yuan ($151.5 million) with deliveries reaching 108,581 vehicles, up 26% year on year.
