Electric vehicle maker Zeekr announced Friday it will enter the Japanese market in 2025. As part of its expansion, stores will be open in Tokyo and the Kansai region before the year ends.

The first models to debut in Japan will be the right-hand drive versions of the Zeekr X urban SUV and the Zeekr 009 MPV.

Last July, the subsidiary of Geely Auto Holding Group, said it planned to open showrooms in South Korea by the end of 2025, with deliveries beginning in the first quarter of the following year.

Japan’s largest publisher, Nikkei BP, announced that on October 31, it will release a comprehensive dissection report based on the Zeekr 007.

The report will feature over 500 images and a detailed analysis of various components, including the inverter, motor, battery, chassis, body, interior parts, electrical components, and ECU.

The package will also include DVD video footage of the disassembly process and will be priced at 880,000 yen (5,986.39 USD ), with an online service bundle priced at 1.32 million yen (8,979.59 USD).

Zeekr’s global expansion is going faster. Zeekr entered nearly 30 overseas markets, including Sweden, Netherlands, Thailand, and Mexico.

By the end of this year, Zeekr aims to be present in 50 countries and regions worldwide, spanning Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Latin America. In August, the right-hand drive version of the Zeekr X began deliveries in markets such as Thailand and Singapore.
