Chinese carmaker Zeekr reported on early Thursday its earnings results from the last quarter of 2024 posting an 85% jump in gross profit to a new record and a 72% lower net loss. In Q4 2024, the company’s deliveries doubled (99.8%) when compared to a year ago.
Zeekr, which is preparing to unveil its first hybrid model next month, saw its automotive revenue jumping 82% year on year to 19.3 billion yuan ($2.6 billion) after delivering nearly 80,000 vehicles between October and December.
The automaker saw its vehicle margin also improve both year on year and sequentially with 17.3%. Total revenue increased by nearly 47% from a year ago to 75.91 billion.
Zeekr delivered 11,942 vehicles under its main brand in January and 14,039 in February. Lynk&Co, now under the Zeekr Group, delivered 17,238 units in February.
The company said earlier this week that it will offer its advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) to Chinese customers for free, just weeks after Tesla launched its supervised Full Self-Driving software in the country.
The system, known as Zeekr G-Pilot, includes features such as the General Automated Evasion System (G-AES), designed to help avoid obstacles, and Full-Capacity Vehicle-to-Parking (V2P), which enables advanced automated parking. These features are intended to improve both safety and driving automation.
