As it celebrates its 4-year anniversary, Zeekr launched on Tuesday the 7GT (Grand Turing) — the brand’s latest station wagon model with prices starting at 202,900 yuan in China ($27,600).
Although the Geely-backed firm said it aims to “make a remarkable impact on global markets”, Zeekr did not disclose a timeline for the first deliveries outside China.
“With outstanding performance and top-tier safety, the Zeekr7GT is poised to make a remarkable impact on global markets,” Zeekr said in a statement. “The starting price of the Zeekr 7GT in China is RMB 202,900yuan.”
The carmaker said the new model is focused on “power, practicality and luxury.” Zeekr named them as the defining words for the four-set model based on its 007 sedan
The 7GT will be the first Zeekr model to have a long-range variant along its fully electric one — the company had announced earlier this year its plans to offer EREV versions of its models.
Production for the 7GT is already in progress in Zeekr’s Hangzhou plant.
Specs
The 7GT will feature an “enhanced 800V electrical system brings rapid power delivery and charging speeds.”
The standard-range variant will be equipped with Zeekr’s LFP batteries, offering a driving range of up to 650km (about 400 miles), while the long-range variant will go up to 835km (about 520 miles).
The Hangzhou-based company stated that the “LFP batteries developed by Zeekr engineers boast the world’s fastest charging capability, charging vehicles from 10% to 80% SoC [state of charge] in just 10.5 minutes.”
Zeekr highlighted features as “advanced sensor suite of LiDAR, high-definition cameras, and millimeter-wave radars ensuring safe ADAS [Advanced Driver Assistance Systems] experiences.”
The model will come in nine exterior colors and four interior color combinations.
Upcoming Models
Last month, Zeekr announced that it will debut its full-size SUV, the Zeekr 9X, at the Shanghai Auto Show next week, with more details to be revealed at the event.
The company is also unveiling its plug-in hybrid technology at the auto show. After producing only fully electric EVs for the last four years, the scenario will change as the brand prepares to release two hybrid SUVs in the third and fourth quarters.
Zeekr has stated that it will release its first quarter financial results in May 15, before the U.S. markets open.
Last week, Zeekr registered 2,300 units in China, according to industry data, marking the second consecutive week of declining sales. Zeekr aims to sell 320,000 units in 2025. Up until April 13, the brand had registered 43,900 units.
