Zeekr, the premium electric car brand of the China giant Geely, announced Tuesday it achieved a new record in September with 21,333 vehicles delivered.
The company’s deliveries grew by 77 percent growth from a year ago when it delivered 12,055 vehicles while figures for the first nine months of the year are up 81 percent.
U.S.-listed shares of Zeekr are trading 4.50 percent higher at $23.20 on Tuesday’s pre-market trading session.

With three months remaining in the year, Zeekr has delivered 142,873 vehicles so far and aims to reach 230,000 units by the year end.
Aiming at the target, the Geely-backed brand is confident that it can deliver 87,127 units between this Tuesday and the last day of the year indicating a monthly pace of 29,042 units delivered.
With over 60,000 orders in the first three weeks, the recently launched SUV Zeekr 7X is the brand’s candidate for a fourth quarter sales push.
During the launch event held last week, the model was priced at 229,900 yuan ($32,700), 4 percent lower than the presale price communicated on August 30.
The company recorded its highest monthly sales this year in June, delivering 20,106 vehicles, but recent figures show a decline, with 18,015 units sold in August, a 46 percent year-on-year increase.
Zeekr will enter the Japanese market next year with showrooms planned to open in Tokyo and the Kansai region before the year end.
