A few days after announcing that one of its top executives, Maximilian Missoni, is leaving the company, Polestar said Wednesday it is replacing its chief executive Thomas Ingenlath from October 1.
Michael Lohscheller, the former CEO of Opel, the Vietnamese EV maker VinFast and also Nikola, will replace Ingenlath who led the brand since its inception seven years ago.
Winfried Vahland, Polestar’s incoming Chairman, said Geely — the parent brand of the Swedish EV maker — “remains deeply committed to Polestar’s success, and with Michael at the helm, supported by a dynamic leadership team, we are well-positioned for continued innovation and growth.”
