Polestar has listed a pre-owned unit of its discontinued Polestar 1 model for £124,990 on its official UK inventory website, equivalent to roughly $167,600.
The limited-run performance coupé — the first and only plug-in hybrid produced by the Geely-backed brand — is being offered for sale nearly four years after production ended.
Only 1,500 units of the Polestar 1 were produced between 2019 and 2021 at the Chengdu plant, in China.
The model was the first to bear the Polestar badge after the brand was spun out from Volvo and Geely, and was marketed as a low-volume halo vehicle with an emphasis on performance.
The listed vehicle is a 2021 model with 7,264 miles on the odometer and it is being sold with a 24-month warranty.
In the US, there are also a few units listed on the pre-owned page. A 2020 model with 3,908 miles is currently listed on the company’s Los Angeles website for $99,568.
The model is equipped with a plug-in hybrid dual motor drivetrain and has a WLTP-rated electric-only range of 77 miles (124 km).
The Polestar 1’s drivetrain combines one petrol engine with three electric motors, producing a total output of 609 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque.
Originally revealed in October 2017, the two-door, 2+2-seater grand tourer features a carbon fibre body and a dual focus on electric efficiency and high performance.
“We didn’t design Polestar 1 to compete with other cars, or to suit a specific target customer,” the company states on its website. “This car is all about pushing boundaries, and making a statement.”
The UK remains one of Polestar’s strongest markets. In June, the automaker sold 2,595 vehicles in the country, more than double the May figure and nearly triple the number sold a year earlier.
Polestar reported last week its best quarterly sales result since late 2022, with 18,049 vehicles sold in the second quarter, a 38% surge year over year.
Sequentially, sales of the EV maker backed by the Chinese giant Geely Holding Group surged by 46.7%. In the January-March period, the EV maker had registered “an estimated 12,304” vehicles.
