Electric vehicle maker Polestar said Wednesday it is partnering with the local IT giant Infosys to open a new tech hub in Bengaluru, India.

Infotainment and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are two of the main areas in which the manufacturer will focus.

The new hub of the Geely-backed brand will be the home for new development and validation of electric vehicle (EV) software across many domains including infotainment, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and telematics.

Additionally, Infosys stated that it will also cover Polestar’s “product management, customer engagement, corporate solutions, and accelerates direct-to-consumer digital services through cloud-native development, testing, and data engineering.”

Polestar will use Infosys’ Engineering labs, Design studio, and “Living Labs” to enhance innovation.

Michael Lohscheller, the former CEO of Opel, the Vietnamese EV maker VinFast and also Nikola, will replace Polestar CEO on the first of October. Jean-Francois Mady, former SVP of global accounting operations and finance transformation at Stellantis, will replace Per Ansgar as the CFO on October 21.

Additionally, Maximilian Missoni has also left the company last month after being a key member of Ingenlath’s leadership team over the first seven years of Polestar’s existence. The designer was announced as a new hire by BMW last Friday.

The company’s stock has recently regained compliance with Nasdaq’s listing rule after having reached a new all time low of 61 cents earlier this year.
