Polestar 3 Named Safest ‘Executive Car’ by EuroNCAP

The Polestar 3 model achieved the highest score in the ‘Executive Car’ class last year, according to the car safety agency Euro NCAP.

The Geely-backed EV brand began European and US deliveries of the SUV in mid 2024 with EuroNCAP publishing the crash test results in April 2025 — in which the model secured a five-star rating.

“Safety is a central part of our DNA thanks to our close collaboration with Volvo Cars,” Polestar‘s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Gerry Yang said on Wednesday.

The executive attributes the fully-electric SUV’s result to its advanced technologies.

“Polestar 3 incorporates among the latest advanced structural innovations and advanced driver assistance systems, which all played a part in delivering the exceptional test results we have seen here,” Yang mentioned.

Apart from Polestar 3, the 2 and 4 models have already been tested and also received recognitions from Euro NCAP – the top ‘Executive Car’ in 2021 and the fourth place in the ‘Large Family Car’ category in 2025 with a five-star rating, respectively.

Polestar 3 Scores

Besides ranking first place in 2025’s ‘Executive Car’ class, the Polestar 3 model registered the twelfth-strongest rating across all segments.

The model scored 90% in the adult occupant protection parameter and 93% for child occupant protection.

Meanwhile, the SUV achieved a 79% score in pedestrian protection and 83% in Safety Assist systems.

When testing the model last July, Euro NCAP praised Polestar 3 for setting “a new standard for child safety”, with performance “tantalisingly close to a perfect score.”
