Lynk & Co, which now belongs to the Zeekr Group, said on Wednesday it is launching a new plug-in hybrid model in Europe this June.

Named 08, the SUV debuted at the Shanghai Auto Show in early 2023 and received an updated version last year, priced from approximately $27,000. The extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) offers a 200 km electric range under the WLTP standard.

In Europe, the 08 will be available in two different variants (Core and More) with prices starting from €52,995, equivalent to $55,650.

The brand claims that the model’s total range exceeds 1,100km (683 miles) while DC fast charging takes the battery from 10% to 80% in just 33 minutes.”

Lynk & Co is currently available across 22 markets in the old continent and plans to expand to new ones this year via its local retailers.

Zeekr has recently completed its previously announced strategic integration transactions with Geely entities, making Lynk&Co an indirect non-wholly-owned subsidiary of the company.

Last November, the Hangzhou-based manufacturer announced it planned to take a 51% controlling stake in Lynk & Co as part of a restructuring aimed at consolidating resources and “accelerating operational synergies.”

Previously, both brands were part of the Geely Holding Group, which includes several other brands such as Lotus, Smart, Volvo, Polestar, LEVC, Geely Auto, and Proton, among others.

Zeekr acquired shares in Lynk & Co currently held by Geely Holding and Volvo Cars, with Geely Auto retaining the remaining 49%.
