Leaked Ford document reveals F-150 Lightning deliveries are delayed and prices are much higher than expected.

Initially expected for Spring 2022, the first deliveries of Ford F-150 Lightning Model may arrive some months later. Also the prices rose compared to those announced last May.

According to the leaked document on the LightningOwners forum, deliveries of the Platinum and Lariat F-150 Lightning won’t begin next Spring, as announced earlier by the company.

The new date for the Deliveries – Summer 2022 – is later than the currently planned “Spring 2022” launch, a date that is still advertised on the company website.

“This leaked 30-page Ford dealer playbook on preparing for the F-150 Lightning order bank opening reveals some interesting info. Like how Platinum and Lariat models will arrive Summer 2022, while the XLT is set for Fall 2022 and lastly the Pro in Fall 2023. It also lists pricing that seems different than what was originally mentioned along with model features and some other stuff.” – says the Forum where it was leaked.

Prices will be higher than the announced last May

In May 2021, Ford said “the Pro series will start at $39,974 USD”, compared to $56,410 USD in the document – a significant rise with no reason so far.

The XLT is also more expensive ($52,974 USD vs $68,460 USD). However the Lariat and Platinum, which were said to start at around $90,000 USD, are cheaper.
