Ford deliveried today its first locally-produced Mustang Mach-E SUV in China.
The electric SUV has been in production for over a year at the Cuautitlán Assembly in Mexico from where it’s shipped all over the world. Since mid-October 2021, the Ford Mustang Mach-E is also being put together in China at the Chongqing plant.

Ford released a photo this Sunday of one of its first buyers in China, advertising executive Jin Zhang, receiving keys in Shanghai from Mark Kaufman, general manager of Ford China BEV Division.
“These are the very, very first customers to get a Mach-E in China.”
Anderson Chan — Dearborn-based international communications manager
The locally-produced Mach-E is being sold via Ford BEV’s growing network of direct-to-customer stores located in major Chinese metropolitan markets. Currently, there are 25 such stores dedicated to the sale of Ford electric vehicles in China. – says Ford.
