Ford Motor announced on Friday that John Lawler would step down as CFO in early 2025, with former Lucid finance chief Sherry House set to succeed him by then.
Lawler has served as Ford‘s CFO since October 2020 and will transition into a new role as vice chair, focusing on guiding future strategic decisions, optimizing partnerships, and engaging with global leaders on crucial industry policies, according to the automaker.
House will join the company as vice president of finance in early June replace Lawler as the CFO “in early 2025”. As vice president of Finance, she will oversee financial planning and analysis as well as the finance organizations for the company’s automotive businesses including Ford Blue, Ford Pro and Ford Model e.
Prior to joining Ford, House served as Lucid‘s chief financial officer from May 2021 to December 2023. Before that, she spent nearly four years at Waymo, where she established and led the team responsible for Treasury, Corporate Finance, and Investor Relations.
