The EV startup Fisker shared on Friday eight pictures of new customers picking up its car in a dealership stating the customer base is growing. In January, the company announced a business model shift from direct sales to a dealer partnership model.

Six weeks later, Fisker said over 250 dealers in “North America and the rest of the world ” showed interest in selling its first production model Fisker Ocean.

On Linkedin, Fisker wrote on Friday “From the dealership floor to the open road, the #FiskerFam is growing! Welcome to all our new owners – we can’t wait to see where your adventures in the Fisker Ocean ⚡️🌊 take you”.

Earlier this month, the company closed its showroom in New York as it transitions from direct sales to a dealer partnership model.

In late March, Fisker started considerable discounts on the 2023 inventory with the Extreme variant now starting at $37,499 (down from $61,499), the Ultra variant starting at $34,999 (from $52,999), and the Sport’s one at $24,999 (from $38,999).

In a new SEC filing filed earlier this week, Fisker announced an agreement reached with an investor to extend the deadline to May 17.

NEVER MISS AN UPDATE

On Monday, Fisker’s entity in Austria (Fisker GmbH) announced that it had voluntarily filed to open a restructuring proceeding via self-administration under the Austrian Insolvency Code.

This proceeding will allow Fisker Austria to continue its operations under court protection, including paying employees and selling vehicles, while it pursues a strategic transaction or other sale of assets.

The company and its other subsidiaries are not included in the Austrian restructuring proceeding and continue to operate in the ordinary course, as reported by EV.

According to Business Insider, Fisker is in the process of closing its Manhattan Beach headquarters relocating the employees to its La Palma office, three sources familiar with the matter shared.
