The EV charging provider Wallbox unveiled this Tuesday the Supernova 220, its next generation of the Supernova DC charger with a capacity of up to 220 kW. As of the time of writing, the US-listed shares are trading 10.6 percent higher at $1.35 following the news.

The company states that the new charger can fully charge a passenger EV for up to 100 miles in just eight minutes.⬤To date, Wallbox has sold over 2,000 DC fast chargers across more than 30 countries.

This increase in power, while keeping installation, maintenance, and space costs steady, improves the return on investment for CPOs, especially in high-volume locations.

The Supernova 220 serves both low and high-voltage EVs, delivering up to 220 kW of power while optimizing space due to its high power density.

Earlier this year, Wallbox started production of the Supernova 180, its third-generation DC fast EV charger designed exclusively for North America following the rollout of the Supernova 60 and Supernova 150 models in Europe.
