China’s giant BYD is preparing to launch its first station wagon model and road testing has already started in China. Several pictures of the BYD Seal 06 Wagon were shared on social media this Wednesday.

The plug-in hybrid EV model will be the wagon version of the BYD Seal 06 DM-i and it will also the Seal 06 GT electric crossover as the third member of the Seal 06 lineup.

It will be equipped with the company’s fifth-generation Dual-Mode hybrid system and is also expected to include BYD’s advanced driver-assistance system, designed with a vision-only architecture.

According to several reports from Chinese social media outlets, the model is expected to start in the 100,000-yuan range, equivalent to $13,750.

The other member of the Seal 06 lineup, the Seal 06 GT, is priced between 136,800 yuan and 186,800 yuan ($18,800 and $25,700). The model is built on BYD’s 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform.

Battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales stood at 207,734 units in December, up 8.9% year-on-year and 4.88% month-on-month.
