Avatr, the Chinese carmaker backed by Changan, Huawei, and the battery giant CATL, launched Thursday its third model, the Avatr 07.
The mid-sized SUV is the company’s first to feature a dual power system, with both all-electric and range-extended powertrain options.
The range-extended version of the Avatr 07 is priced between 219,900 yuan ($31,400) and 279,900 yuan ($39,900). The all-electric version is priced from 229,900 yuan ($32,800) to 289,900 yuan ($41,400).

The model integrates Huawei’s QianKun Intelligent Driving ADS 3.0 system — with 27 sensors including a 192-line LiDAR for autonomous driving — and uses Huawei’s Harmony OS 4.0 in its cockpit system.
The range-extended models use a 1.5T engine combined with an electric motor. They are available in two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive configurations. The 1.5T engine generates 115 kW.
The electric motors produce 231 kW (two-wheel-drive) and 131 kW/231 kW (four-wheel-drive). The model has a 39.05 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, offering an all-electric range of 230 km (two-wheel-drive) and 220 km (four-wheel-drive) under CLTC standards.
Built on an 800-volt silicon carbide platform, the all-electric version is available in two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive models.
The two-wheel-drive variant has a 252 kW electric motor, while the four-wheel-drive model includes front and rear motors with outputs of 188 kW and 252 kW. Both versions are equipped with CATL’s lithium iron phosphate batteries, providing a range of 650 km (two-wheel-drive) and 610 km (four-wheel-drive) under CLTC testing.
Both powertrains support high-speed charging, with the all-electric version capable of 420 kW peak charging power.
