Avatr, the electric vehicle (EV) joint venture formed by Huawei, Changan Automobile, and battery maker CATL, announced on Thursday that its vehicle models will be upgraded to Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 3.0 system.
Avatr’s President Chen Zhuo announced that user testing for the valet parking (VPD) feature started on June 25, and a nationwide intelligent driving experience event will kick off on June 29.

Huawei released the Qiankun ADS 3.0 in late April. The system features a new end-to-end architecture that uses the GOD network for perception and the PDP network for pre-decision planning.
These technologies enable decision-making and planning that mimic human drivers, resulting in improved traffic efficiency and a pass rate of over 96% at complex intersections, according to the company.
The Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 3.0 includes an omnidirectional collision avoidance system (CAS 3.0), enhanced emergency steering assistance (ESA), and upgraded side collision avoidance.
The system is equipped with a high-precision 4D millimeter-wave radar, which offers a 35 percent increase in detection range, four times improved detection accuracy, and a 65 percent reduction in latency.
