Polestar announces US price for 2023 Polestar 2 with deliveries starting in September

Polestar announced on Wednesday design updates, range estimates and pricing for the 2023 Polestar 2 in the US. Pricing for the updated Polestar 2 Long range Single motor will start at $48,400, or $40,900 including the $7,500 federal tax rebate.

With deliveries beginning in September, the single-motor 2023 Polestar 2 Long range Single motor is priced at $48,400 before any federal, state, or utility rebates. The 2023 Polestar 2 Long range Dual motor is priced from $51,900. Both variants qualify for the $7,500 federal electric car incentive, as well as numerous state and local incentives, the company stated.

Thanks to software improvements, Polestar anticipates a vehicle range increase for the dual-motor Polestar 2 of approximately 11 miles compared to the the current model, expected to reach a preliminary estimated 260-mile US EPA range. Additionally, the updated model adds a number of new features in a nod to the Polestar design ethos of continual improvement, Polestar said.

Last week, Polestar Head of Sales and Business Operations in Ireland unveiled that just received the first units of Polestar 2. On April 3, the company announced that had arrived Ireland with its Polestar 2 model with a starting price of €54,500 as global expansion continues. Polestar also unveiled a four-week roadshow running from May 9th, starting in Dublin and moving on to Irish cities of Kilkenny, Cork and Galway.

Also last Wednesday, Polestar its first job vacancy for Portugal aiming to enter the country later this year. The electric vehicle maker is now looking for a Senior Key Account Manager Fleet. Among the tasks, the candidate will be responsible for the acquisition of new and support of existing national and international fleet customer and also for reaching the fleet targets. The company has currently 189 vacancies open worldwide including in China, Germany, Belgium, Australia and many more.
