Nio has now 824 Institutional Owners, the highest number ever despite recent stock’s performance

According to Fintel, Nio has currently 824 institutional owners and shareholders that have filed 13D/G or 13F forms with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC). These institutions hold a total of 587,071,074 shares. Largest shareholders include Baillie Gifford & Co, BlackRock Inc., Vanguard Group Inc, State Street Corp, VWIGX – Vanguard International Growth Fund Investor Shares, Susquehanna International Group, Llp, Goldman Sachs Group, Citadel Advisors Llc, VEIEX – Vanguard Emerging Markets Stock Index Fund Investor Shares, and Susquehanna International Group.

BlackRock Inc. has filed a 13F-HR form disclosing ownership of 64,036,975 shares of Nio Inc with total holdings valued at $2,028,693,000 USD as of 2021-12-31. BlackRock Inc. had filed a previous 13F-HR on 2021-11-09 disclosing 61,624,811 shares of Nio Inc at a value of $2,195,693,000 USD. This represents a change in shares of 3.91% and a change in value of -7.61% during the quarter.Also, E Fund Management, the largest comprehensive fund manager in China, added Nio to its portfolio with a 338k shares valued at $10.7 Million.

Among the new positions on Nio, there’s BSN Capital Partners Ltd with 1.13 million shares, Virtu Financial with 25,711 shares and MEMQX Fund with more than 86,000 shares.

Last week, Nio said that more than 8,700 users across the country have chosen to upgrade their batteries flexibly. The battery flexible upgrade service includes two ways: monthly and annual flexible upgrades to provide users with a lower-cost large-capacity battery experience for personalized electric travel.

Recently, the company announced a partnership with the iconic Wallpaper* brand. WallpaperSTORE*, a full-category design store created by the “Wallpaper*” media brand, signed a partnership with the Chinese EV maker Nio. WallpaperSTORE* will now have Nio Life products exposed among iconic designers like Tom Dixon, Botega Veneta or St Louis Crystal. NIO Life is now the world’s first design store included on the Wallpaper Magazine.

The EV maker delivered 9,652 vehicles in January 2022, representing an increase of 33.6% year-over-year. The deliveries consisted of 1,531 ES8s, the Company’s six- or seven-seater flagship premium smart electric SUV, 5,247 ES6s, the Company’s five-seater high-performance premium smart electric SUV, and 2,874 EC6s, the Company’s five-seater premium smart electric coupe SUV. As of January 31, 2022, cumulative deliveries of the ES8, ES6 and EC6 reached 176,722 vehicles.
